Destination: Maldives

It's no secret that I can't get enough sand, waves and sunshine! Almost every destination at the top of my dream list has some sort of delicious beach involved.

Coco Island by Momo in the Maldives is absolutely breathtaking. I can't even comprehend how stunning and delightful a week (or two? three? forever?) would be lounging on the white sand, splashing in the insanely blue water, and living in paradise in the middle of the ocean. Take.Me.There!

Photos are from Tablet, my travel obsession website. Check out the Maldives trip... but be careful, you'll want to go stat and then realize there are ten other trips you also need to jet off on. Thank you Tablet!!

Wrapping up Revenge

It's hard to believe we're wrapping up the second season of Revenge! It's one of those wild and crazy rides that feels like it lasted forever and was over in a blink of a second at the same time!!
We had a pretty epic wrap party thanks to my new hero's at Shadow PR, Joico, Svedka and Rudsak

My invite skills!

Photobooth love!

Party pics! Thank you Pink Taco and all our lovely cast and crew!

I love meeting new people and being introduced to fab brands ((especially when the people are amazing and the product is fantastic))... which is why you absolutely need to get your hair some Joico and dress your body in some Rudsak!

Outfit Inspiration: Kate Upton

I'm crushing over Kate Upton's casual cool vibe here. It's barely enough of a pic for outfit inspiration, but somehow just in the hair and tee you can get the whole hot vibe! Her beachy curls are fantastic, I'm dying over her perfect blonde color, and I love her hot yet laid back outfit. Here are some pieces I think would be perfect to pull this look off!

Oil up, buttercup!

Oil is having a serious moment in the beauty department, and even though it's a scary concept to douse your bod with oils, the results are impressive and will convert even the biggest skeptic!  I've been loving coconut oil on my face and it's been fun experimenting with other oil products to keep my locks luscious and my skin smooth! Thus, I was very excited when I got to try out Garnier Fructis' new Dry Oil product. The best part? It's for hair and skin - it's an "all in one"!!

The spray is a little heavy when I spray directly on my hair, and leaves it feeling a little greasy. I find the best way to use it on my locks is to spray it on my hands so I have more control.

Love the "quick dry" - I can spray it on my legs and don't have to wait forever for it to soak in! It instantly absorbs and doesn't leave a sticky residue.

This is the first product of it's kind to be available at mass retailers!

Thanks to BzzAgent and Garnier Fructis for sending me this fab new product to check out!
*As a BzzAgent I was sent this product to test and give my opinion on. All opinions are my own*

Snack attack: Avocado Hummus

I whipped up a quick appetizer to start our dinner with friends this weekend, and chose to try this Avocado Hummus I'd pinned! Super quick, insanely easy and quite tasty! It's also a base that seemed like you could experiment with to spice it up a little - next time I think I'll add some fresh garlic and maybe a little extra spice!

Avocado Hummus:
Avocado, beans (I chose Organic Garbonzo beans) and a splash of olive oil

A pinch of salt, a dash of garlic powder, a sprinkle of cayenne pepper
Blend it all up in the food processor (so speedy!)
Squeeze in a fresh lime and mix around

Boom! Enjoy with tasty pita chips
Apologies for this terribly blurry photo -- quick snap+drinks+.... oops ;)

Want more details (like measurements?!!) -- find the recipe at The Lovely Cupboard and let me know how you like this easy snack!

Chicken Kabob Lettuce Wraps

Chicken Kabob Lettuce Wrap Recipe via Martha Stewart / Everyday Food

2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for grill
1/2 small red onion, half thinly sliced and half grated
1 1/4 pounds ground chicken
1 garlic clove, minced
1 cup fresh mint leaves, half chopped
2 ounces feta, crumbled (1/2 cup)
Coarse salt and ground pepper
Extra-virgin olive oil
1 cup grape tomatoes, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons red-wine vinegar
2 heads butter lettuce, such as Boston or Bibb, trimmed and leaves separated

Soak eight wooden skewers in water, 15 minutes. Heat a grill or grill pan to medium-high. Clean and lightly oil hot grill. Soak sliced onion in warm water, 10 minutes. Using your hands, gently combine grated onion, chicken, garlic, chopped mint, feta, and 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Divide mixture into 8 portions, form around skewers, and brush with 1 tablespoon oil. Grill until cooked through, about 12 minutes, flipping once.

Drain sliced onion and toss with 1 tablespoon oil, whole mint leaves, tomatoes, and vinegar; season with salt and pepper. Serve kebabs in lettuce leaves, topped with onion salad.
